Sierra & Kyle's engagement shoot

We went to Silver Falls and the Oregon Garden for there photo shoot. It sure is nice when our clients are up for any idea's Maggie and I come up with during a shoot. We hiked all around the falls and then walked around the entire Oregon Garden. Love was in the air that day. We passed by three weddings at the two different locations! Robin & Kevin 09.02.07

Robin and Kevin were married last month in Portland. We only recently met them this Spring but have enjoyed getting to know them from their engagement shoot through their big day.

Robin and Kevin have known each other for years and you can sense the deep love they have for one another. It was amazing how calm they both were before seeing each other on their wedding day and yet they both had an amazing glow to them. Their eyes were so blue and sparkly, we just had to document them before the day got started.

The most touching moment of the day was when Kevin and Robin saw each other for the first time as bride and groom during the veiling of the bride ceremony. They were in front of all their friends and family and they both were so happy to finally see one another after spending the day apart. It was a great moment I was honored to be there to witness and document it.

Holle & Kevin's engagement shoot

Maggie and I got to go out for a nice walk around Eugene with Holle and Kevin last month. Before we started the engagement shoot, we went to Mcmenaman's for a snack and some small conversation to start the day.

The first spot that we started to take pictures is where Kevin asked Holle to marry him. We then went to the University of Oregon's campus. Neither Josh or I have spent much time there so we were excited to find some great new places to photograph. The highlight of the day was when Holle and Kevin began to dance together. They both know how to dance and they brought us to the building where they took some dance classes together. In the hallway Kevin led Holle on a sweet dance that ended with a great dip! We can't wait to see all the dancing that will be going on during thier wedding.

Rick & Vesna's Wedding 09.01.07

Rick and Vesna had a beautiful wedding at the Abernethy Center in Oregon City. They have a great sense of style and elegance that showed from their flowers to the amazing cake and Vesna's gorgeous dress. There dog Livvy is big part in there life so they decided to include her in the wedding celebration all day. She was the flower girl, but as soon as she saw all the people waiting at the ceremony site, she took off as fast as she could in the other direction. Even though she didn't make it to the ceremony we know she was happy to see her parents tie the knot!

It was a true pleasure taking your wedding photos and being included in such a happy celebration! Thank you Rick and Vesna.

Derek & Sarah's wedding 08.25.07

Derek & Sarah had an intimate wedding at the Oregon Coast with only their closest family and friends. On my way to the beach house, the clouds started to get thick and dark. My fingers were crossed, but it still rained. It didn't rain just a little, it down poured. Sadly, the plans had to be changed and the ceremony was moved inside. The moment the minister said "do you take him to be your husband?..." the rain stopped. It was a beautiful moment with all their family and friends surrounding them.

Derek & Sarah's first date consisted of riding the same two-seater yellow bike at the beach. They both had such a great time on their first date that they wanted the bike there for the photos.

I (Josh) shot this wedding alone while Maggie was at another wedding in Corvallis. I had a great time and hope to do some more weddings at the beautiful Oregon (or California) coast soon! Check out some of my favorites from the day below along with a link to their slideshow.
