Josh came home yesterday and the first thing he said was "This is the last time you will see me in my uniform." He signed up with the Oregon National Guard 6 years ago and just finished his last weekend of work with them. The Guard has taken Josh all over, including a tour in Iraq a few years back. He has experienced so much and been so many places including Mongolia, Ireland, Kuwait, and New Orleans (Katrina relief) just to name a few. It is a selfless act to serve our country and I am so proud of him for it. Be proud of our soldiers and thank them when you can! Thanks Josh!!

Angie + John's engagement shoot
Angie and John are only weeks away from getting married. We lucked out and enjoyed one last day of sunshine during the shoot. They invited us out to Hood River in the Gorge. It is their home away from home, they love the city and we enjoyed walking through it as we took photos. Then we made it to an overlook on the Washington side of the river and we were blown away by the view!! We ended at Bridal Veil and took some photos by the falls and Angie and John walked through the river as the sun began to set.

Kelsey + Andy's wedding ~ 08.23.08
Where do we begin with these two? Well, they met in elementary school and that is where they were married this past August! They grew up just down the road from one another, but didn't fall in love until much later of course. Their wedding was unique from the gangster mentality of the groomsmen, to their dog Oscar being the ring bearer, to the tatoos they required all guests to wear as admittance to the ceremony. The list goes on and on. The day was so full of personality and fun.
One of the most memorable moments we have ever photographed was Kelsey and Andy's tandem bike ride from their ceremony to Andy's parent's property where they held the reception. Kelsey trusted Andy to get her there in his tux while she rode on the back in her dress and heals! The sun was setting and the moments were amazing. Josh took the photos but I was the stunt driver. That's what makes us a great team :) It would have never happened if we didn't have both of us!
Thanks for the laughter and all the fun Kelsey and Andy. We had a great time!!

Update: office pictures
Maggie and I thought we should update our office shots so everybody could see how its coming along. We have been here in the historic Union Station downtown since June. It has been a lot of work, but we LOVE our new home! We kind of have an old-fashioned travelish theme going. Hence the suitcases, and the old TV and radio. There is still work to be done, but it is starting to come together.

Courtney + David ~ August 16th
We are back and keeping up with our blog again!! Thank you to everyone that reads our blog on a regular basis, sorry for the lack of posts. We have been so so so busy, but we are starting to catch up again so you will get your regular dose of Honeysuckle once again.
Courtney and David had an amazing wedding a month ago at the Heritage House down in Aurora Oregon. We had never shot there, but we loved every little nook and cranny. There were gorgeous flowers and tall trees everywhere on the property. And thank goodness for those trees! It was a HOT day and we all needed the shade to stay cool. The temperature reached over 105 during the day!! Aside from the heat, we had an amazing day with this super fun couple. They are incredibly fun to work with and we enjoyed every minute we had with them.
Here are some of our favorites from the day along with a slideshow. Enjoy!
