Abby & Jonathan's engagement shoot

Hello everyone! Thanks for hanging in there while we were on vacation. We promise to update the blog more in the weeks to come :)

We met Abby & Jonathan this past weekend and did their engagement shoot in the Pearl district in Downtown Portland. We will be photographing their wedding this weekend so be on the lookout for more photos of this sweet couple. As we walked between locations, we found out that Abby and Jonathan have known eachother since they were just 5 years old! Arcatus Jewelry shoot

Kate contacted us a couple weeks back about doing a photo shoot to promote her latest jewelry lines for her business Arcatus. We were flattered and overjoyed to be invited into the project. Just For Art Workshop 3.0

Here we go again! Josh was hard at work planing and executing his 3rd photography workshop here in Portland. It was held in downtown this past Sunday and the theme was "make the dress" Everyone brought materials to make clothing and it was a blast! I never thought I would enjoy the fashion aspect of it, but I really got into it towards the end of the shoot. 13 photographers made it to the workshop and we have 4 amazing models working for us for over 4 hours. Everyone had a great time and I know there are many more workshops to come. Contact us if you have any ideas, want to photograph or even model for us in the future.

ode to the hood

We drove out to Bend last weekend for a photo shoot and on the way we drove right past the beautiful Mount Hood. The day was sunny and warm and the peak is still covered in snow. It felt surreal as we rounded the corner and we had to snap a few photos.

Betsey & John's engagement shoot

Betsey and John have been to 2 weddings we have photographed in the past 5 months and now it's their turn! :) They invited us down to Eugene for the day last Saturday. We spent a couple hours at the Eugene Yacht Club and then headed into town for a couple more shots before the sun went down. We got rained on towards the end, but we still captured some great moments between the sweet pair. Enjoy our favorites along with a link to the slideshow on our website.

Beatrix is now almost 5 days old! She is doing wonderfully and is happy to be home with her parents. I got together all the photos from her first hours in the hospital and put some of the best into a slideshow. Click the link below to view it.

As you may or may not know, Josh has organized two workshops for Portland photographers this year and has another one underway for next month. We have posted the results on our blog when the workshops wrap so you can see some of the results on the links below. The majority of the photographers are friends in an online community that Josh and I participate in called JPG. It is a wonderful site to post work and get feedback from talented people all around the world. The magazines creates 6 issues a year and sends them to thousands of subscribers and they also sell them in store likes Borders and Barnes and Nobel.

The latest issue has a story on the workshops Josh has been organizing! WHOA! And it was the first article in the magazine! The top photo was taken by me, hence I'm not in it, but I did participate! It is so great that they recognized the hard work and amazing projects that Josh has put together. Keep it up Josh!

Welcome Baby Beatrix!

My sister and her husband welcomed their first baby into the world today. Her name is Beatrix and she sure is loved by all of her family. We have been waiting anxiously to see her and now that she is here and healthy (and quite adorable!) we can all breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy this sweet gift.
