Letanya

We met Letanya at a wedding last July. We were the photographers and she was a guest at the reception. She caught both of our attention and we decided to ask her if she would ever be interested in modeling for us. She said yes and even offered to wear her wedding dress for the shoot. The shoot was just to play around and get some fun images. We had a great time and are down to more photo shoots like this in the future. If anyone else wants to get dolled up again in their dress for some more photos - let us know!

day off at the coast

Sophie, Josh and I headed out ot Canon Beach for a couple hours today to escape our computers and get some fresh air. Sophie usually loves running all over the sand but about halfway through our walk she started getting really cold. The sun was shining, but the wind was pretty strong and it made us all a little chilly. She didn't hesitate for a second when Josh opened his arms to her. She jumped up and eventually found her way under his jacket. Pretty cute if you ask me. What a good pappy Josh is. I took this photo at the end of our walk.

Jessica & Matt's engagement shoot

We hung out with Jessica and Matt on Monday at Washington Park and 23rd street for a couple hours for their engagement shoot. These two have a long history together. They have been friends for most of their lives together! They met in 2nd grade!! It wasn't until they left for college that they fell for one another and now the weeks are counting until they tie the knot. They were fun to work with and check out the great smile on Jessica! As photographers, we can't get enough of a smile like that! We are looking forward to photographing them again in September on their wedding day. Until then, enjoy our favorites from the engagement shoot.

SHE SAID YES!!

A few weeks ago, Josh contacted us with the idea of having us photograph his proposal to his girlfriend Melissa (now his fiance!) We could not resist! What an amazing opportunity to be apart of!

Josh (the soon to be groom) was really slick about the whole set up. He managed to hide sparkling cider, a rose, and the ring at the bottom of Clear Lake. He kept pulling stuff out of the lake, one bag at a time until the ring was in the final bag. It was such a fun idea and great way to pop the question, not to mention super romantic! As soon as Melissa put her hands to her mouth, we knew the question had been asked. Josh got on one knee and we saw her nod. At that point our cover was blown as the camera shutters started firing. She laughed and started looking around the hillside only to see me wave and say "congrats you two!"

We were decked out in Josh's military camo for the shoot. The newly-engaged Josh was kind enough to snap a photo of us on the shore with his iPhone (see below). This was another first for us and we hope to do it again. So all you guys out there... you know who to call when the time comes :)

Kristen & Nic's engagement shoot

For those of you living in Portland, you know how strange it was to get several thunder and lighting storms here this past week. In the 7 years we have lived here, I don't think I have seen lighting more than 10 times. But don't get me wrong... we still get tons of rain here.

With that said, I think you can guess that the photos from Kristen and Nic's engagement shoot were taken in the midst of a storm. We headed out to Oswego Lake Golf Club last weekend and on the way there was a downpour! By the time we reached the club the clouds lightened up and the rain went to a soft drizzle. The weather gave us a perfect hour to go out and shoot on the course. Now this may seem like it was a problem, but the lightning actually cleared the course for us so we had freedom to go anywhere and shoot at any spot without being in anyones way! It was a blessing in disguise. We had a great time and the highlight of the shoot was when Kristen and Nic took off their sandals and sunk their toes into a sand trap. Check out our favorites below!

Teresa & Daniel at the Neon Boneyard

Teresa and Daniel met up with us the day after their wedding to do one last photo shoot before they were off to their honeymoon. We did the shoot at the Neon Boneyard in Las Vegas. It is a place where all the old neon signs from the strip have gone to rest. To say the least, it was the coolest place Josh and I have ever done a photo shoot and we couldn't have asked for a better couple to do the shoot with!

The sun was setting and the lighting was perfect. We wandered and found some amazing signs for backdrops. It was the perfect way to end all the wedding photography with Teresa and Daniel.

For all of you that know Teresa or have been wondering how you recognize her, she is the co-host of the Adam Carolla radio show and also hosts TV Watercooler. You can find out more about her on her website http://www.teresastrasser.com/.

Teresa & Daniel's wedding

We posted a couple photos from Teresa and Daniel's "day after" shoot in Vegas last week but haven't shared any from their big day until now... Teresa and Daniel were married just over a week ago in the Venetian Resort and Casino right in the middle of the Las Vegas strip.

They are so fun together and do nothing but enjoy one another which made for an amazing day. You can't help but fall in love with these two, they are so sweet together! They had an intimate wedding with only their closest friends and family there to enjoy the moments. We had to stay out of the 100+ degree weather all day, but thankfully we took them out the next evening to get some more portraits at the Neon Boneyard Museum. We will be sharing those photos shortly so check back this weekend!
