We drove down to Corvallis a couple weeks back to photograph the Hong family. They have two boys - Benjamin and Brandon - and a brand new baby girl named Pyper. We did the shoot in their house and backyard. It was a gorgeous afternoon and these two boys kept us smiling the whole shoot. The first shot is the classic Elvis pose in case you were wondering.

Barlow Family shoot
It was such a pleasure meeting and working with Shonda and her family a couple weeks ago. Shonda is a very talented portrait and wedding photographer in Vancouver and Portland. (Shonda Barlow Photography) I know as a photographer that we rarely get photographed since we are always the ones taking the photos. So it was a huge compliment when she reached out to us to photograph her family! Her girls, Aydri and Brielle, were so sweet and a pleasure to work with. They became especially adorable when they saw the dolls that Shonda brought for them as a present for being good during the photo shoot. I wish that trick worked with all photo shoots! :P
We started the shoot in Happy Valley where we found several colorful trees for backdrops. We ended on Powell Butte - one of my favorite spots to walk around and soak in some beautiful Portland scenery. It was a fun shoot and I hope to work with this great family again!

Theo + Luci's portraits
Theo and Luci are some of the cutest kids on the planet! I always love working with little Theo. He is contemplative, smart, loves tractors (he calls them "John Deers") and loves to race. Do I even have to mention his fantastic curls? This is the third photo shoot I have done with Theo over the last couple years, but it was the first time I met Theo's cousin Luci. What a doll she is! We walked around a pumpkin patch, wandered through a hay maze and ended at the edge of a corn field. It was a fun way to spend an afternoon. I can't wait to work with them again.

Emily + Ty's vineyard wedding
Emily and Ty were married on a gorgeous day out at Beckenridge Vineyard this summer. The day was elegant and perfect from start to finish. A highlight of the day was when the ring bearer put on a bear costume for the job. This wasn't exactly his wish, but more of a long lost dream from Ty's childhood. When Ty was a child, he was asked to be a ring bearer in a wedding. He was when he wasn't able to dress up as a bear for the role. Of course that is what ring "bears" do! So Emily and Ty's ring bearer got a cool bear costume to wear to bring everything full circle for Ty. It was adorable! The rest of the day went smoothly with a little wine, some cigars, and dancing with friends and family.
Congrats to the newlyweds Emily and Ty!
