Jennifer + Dennis' engagement shoot

I met Jennifer and Dennis last week at thier house in North Portland. We were so lucky to catch a break in the rain after days of no sunshine. As soon as the clouds broke, we headed over to Mississippi Street for the shoot. We found tons of colorful backdrops and interesting textures. I also had a fun time meeting and photographing their dog, Crawford. He was full of energy just like my little Sophie, but they had him well trained so he was great when it came time for photos. All in all, it was a great photo shoot to start off the new year!

Michelle + Brian's Hood River wedding

Josh headed out to Hood River to photograph Michelle and Brian's snowy wedding. I know Michelle from photographing her daughter's wedding a couple years back. Emily and Cameron have been great friends ever since we worked with them on their wedding, so it was exciting to get the phone call to photograph Michelle's wedding. Fun people, snow covered ground and true love! Congrats to the happy couple!

slideshow update

Just before Christmas I was editing a lot of photos and ran out of time to put together slideshows before I left town. Here are Laurel + Matt's engagement, Jen + Ben's engagement and Gary + Sage's wedding. Enjoy!

Laurel + Matt's engagement

Hello 2010!! I'm happy to have something to post on the first day of this year, and even better the first day of this decade! These last ten years went by way too fast, but I am so happy to be where I am, doing what I love! Here's to an even better 10 years ahead!

Laurel and Matt's engagement shoot was way too much fun. We headed down to the SE waterfront outside of Sellwood. We lucked out and found a ton of gorgeous fall colors after most of the leaves had already fallen around the city. After the waterfront, we headed up to Oaks Amusement Park. I had never even been there before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Once we walked in, we were all surprised to find no one was watching the property. We managed to hop into bumper cars and even climb up on the roller coaster without getting into trouble. It was so amazing! Definitely worth the risk. After all that fun, I am really excited to work with these two again in a few short months on their wedding day.
