Janna + Eric's wedding

Janna and Eric were married a couple weeks ago in the Gorge. It was a sweet little wedding that reminded me so much of our wedding. Half of the guests were from around the world. Eric and his family came all the way from Ireland! We photographed the ceremony and then headed off to Multnomah Falls where Janna took Eric on their first date. It was such a great wedding and everything fit their personalities perfectly! I love it when the day just feels right!

a day in the life: The Shields

As many of you know, we have a new office downtown (woo hoo!). One of the great things about our space is that we mhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifet the talented Travis of Shields Films. We share the office with him and have had a great time getting to know him over this past summer. We went out to Sauvie Island and took photos of Travis and his family enjoying a gorgeous fall day at a pumpkin patch.

Krista + Travis's portrait session

We met Krista and Travis at a June wedding this summer. Krista was a bridesmaid so we got to know her well that day. A funny part of the evening was when Josh took some photos of Krista and Travis outside and without knowing that, I was chasing them down to take photos too just a minute later. They laughed and told me Josh was just taking their photo. It goes to show you, Josh and I have the same cute couple radar! The time came for their official photo shoot, and it was a gorgeous September day. Travis took us to a couple of Vineyards that he manages and we couldn't have asked for a better backdrop. They just glow as a couple. It is great to see people so in love! It makes our job too easy.

09.06.08 ~ Niki + Tommy

Niki & Tommy had an elegant wedding at the Queen Anne Victorian Mansion
this past September. The day was gorgeous, the people were wonderful, and we can't forget to mention the bride was stunning! Niki and Tommy are too sweet together. It was touching to watch Tommy see his beautiful bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle. The party went on into the night and one of the best moments came when some friends picked up Niki and Tommy and carried them across the dance floor to eachother. It was sweet to see them smile and laugh and then meet with a kiss. Congrats you two!

Josh came home yesterday and the first thing he said was "This is the last time you will see me in my uniform." He signed up with the Oregon National Guard 6 years ago and just finished his last weekend of work with them. The Guard has taken Josh all over, including a tour in Iraq a few years back. He has experienced so much and been so many places including Mongolia, Ireland, Kuwait, and New Orleans (Katrina relief) just to name a few. It is a selfless act to serve our country and I am so proud of him for it. Be proud of our soldiers and thank them when you can! Thanks Josh!!
