We were honored to photograph Alexis' Bat Mitzvah this past weekend. We took some photos at her rehearsal on Friday and then photographed the reception at the Portland Golf club on Saturday. It was quite the event! The details of the night were amazing! Alexis loves board games so that theme was carried out in the decor. The floral center pieces were the most unique we have ever seen with floating board game pieces inside the glass vases. She also had a fun sign in board that was based on monopoly. The night was full of fun and dancing and it flew by quickly. Thanks for having us out to your celebration! Mazal Tov Alexis!

Alexis' Bat Mitzvah
girls day out!
My mom is in town from Colorado and we had the pleasure of hanging out with my niece Kiersten for a couple hours at the Crystal Springs Rhododendron Park in Portland. There are tons of ducks, geese and squirrels. They are all very tame and you can even pet the geese! Keirsten is pro at feeding squirrels now, she walks up to them and tosses one peanut at a time. She even hit them a couple times. Good aim for a 19 month old kiddo. Here are some shots from the trip.
p.s. good acting mom, you make that goose look like a killer goose!

Andy + Sarah's portrait shoot
We met Andy and Sarah earlier this week for their portrait shoot in downtown Portland. We headed up to the fabulous Pittock Mansion to start the shoot. Then we came down Burnside, and walked around the NW neighborhoods in some spots we hadn't shot in yet. These two were really sweet together. We loved that they brought 2 of their favorite comic books for a couple photos at the end. Those were by far some of the funnest shots of the day.

SNEEK PEEK! 2009 Marquis Queen
We photographed the 2009 Marquis Queen crowning today. Not only did we have the pleasure of meeting Tessie Taylor the queen herself as she was crowned, but we also got to meet Katie Harman, Miss America 2002! Yep a real Miss America! Both ladies were stunning inside and out. We had a great day.

Karli + Patrick's engagement
So maybe I'm a little biased, but I'm pretty sure redheads might be the best people to photograph. We met up with Karli and Patrick on Mount Hood this past friday for their engagement shoot. They are both very outdoorsy people and they will be climbing Mount Hood in a couple weeks so it was a fun location for all of us. We hardly say this, but the weather was a little too nice up there for the shoot! It was clear skies which made the snow a giant reflector. It was way too bright up at the top. We did as many photos as we could with the mountain before we found some shade in the trees down the road. All in all, it was a fun shoot and we are looking forward to working with these two again in a short 2 months for their wedding.
