Derek & Sarah had an intimate wedding at the Oregon Coast with only their closest family and friends. On my way to the beach house, the clouds started to get thick and dark. My fingers were crossed, but it still rained. It didn't rain just a little, it down poured. Sadly, the plans had to be changed and the ceremony was moved inside. The moment the minister said "do you take him to be your husband?..." the rain stopped. It was a beautiful moment with all their family and friends surrounding them.
Derek & Sarah's first date consisted of riding the same two-seater yellow bike at the beach. They both had such a great time on their first date that they wanted the bike there for the photos.
I (Josh) shot this wedding alone while Maggie was at another wedding in Corvallis. I had a great time and hope to do some more weddings at the beautiful Oregon (or California) coast soon! Check out some of my favorites from the day below along with a link to their slideshow.

Kari & Carl's Wedding 08-26-07
Kari and Carl have a look every time their eyes meet telling the world how much they love each other. They have a sweet, quite, but strong bond together and it was an honor to be a witness on the day these two started thier married life together.
As proof of their sweet love together, the minister said something so telling of their relationship during the ceremony. He talked about how understanding and respectful they are of eachother. He said no matter how hard he tried to find a flaw or weakness in their relationship in the months leading up to the wedding, he just couldn't. We had the same experience with them. They were nothing but kind and loving to one another. A great example for everyone to learn from!
We hope to do a bridal shoot with Kari soon before the weather gets too chilly. Check back in the following weeks for more.

Melissa & Chris 08.25.07
Melissa and Chris were married in Corvallis at the Hanson Country Inn on an amazing day. Melissa was radiant from the moment we first encountered her. Chris and her were glowing all day and were nothing but smiles and laughter as they enjoyed the day with all thier friends and family. You could really sense the love between them.
Some key moments of the day were the heirlooms Melissa kept close to her all day. She wore a ring and kept a locket from her grandparents on her bouquet (see the photo below). I also loved the way they did their table assignments for dinner. They made Jam and labeled the tops with the names of each guest and where they were assigned to sit. I just thought it was such a cool gift for everyone! Lastly, The guests threw lavender at Melissa and Chris as they exited the ceremony as husband and wife! It smelled amazing and made for some cool photos!
Our friend and assistant Amy came along with me for the day and Josh was out at the coast for another wedding. Check out some of my favorites from the day and Stay tuned for photos from Josh's August 25th wedding.

Julie & Craig's Wedding 08.24.07
Julie and Craig were married a few weeks ago at Tyee Vineyard located just south of Corvallis. Friends and family traveled from all around the world to celebrate with Julie and Craig. They wanted to show everyone what the beautiful Oregon countryside is all about. There was a bluegrass band, wonderful wine and great company all evening long. The day ended with a perfect glowing sunset.
One thing that stands out to us were all the amazing colors all day long. From the bright blue sky to the soft pink flowers, the green vines to the golden sunset, we were so inspired all day long! Enjoy some of our favorites from the day and click the link below to view their slideshow.
