We photographed Allie and Dan last week in the Pearl District for their engagement shoot. They brought along their two black labs for the first part of the shoot which was a fun way to get things rolling. At one point, we found a shopping cart and had some fun with Dan pushing Allie around. They are getting married later this summer so stay tuned for more from these two!

Portland Bridal TV video
Our good friend and office mate - Travis Shields of Shields Films- is starting up an ingenious website where people can meet their wedding vendors via the magic of video. The new site is called Portland Bridal TV and we are featured on the blog right now! He put together an amazing video for us and we are wanting to spread the word about his site (and we want to share our cool video). If you are a wedding vendor, contact Travis today about this great site. This is the future of meeting clients!

Kimberly's model shoot
We have had the pleasure of working with Kimberly behind the scenes this summer. She has been helping us with hair and make-up on some of our recent model shoots. But tonight, she stepped out into the limelight and worked as a model for us. She did a phenomenal job! We loved taking her out to Sauvie Island as the sun went down. Check out our favorites from the shoot.

Nicole + Joe's wedding
My cousin Nicole and her husband Joe were married last month up in the middle of Washington state. It was a little hot and a tad windy that day, but it didn't stop these two from throwing a good party and having a great time.
We don't often stop and listen to the vows during ceremonies, because we are working on getting the right angle and waiting for that smile or that one tear to fall. But Nicole's vows for Joe had such a sweet message in them. She talked about how Joe always eats the cookies she makes, and then tells her to never make cookies again. But not matter what, she bakes another round, and faithfully, he eats every last one. She ended with "may our cookie jar always be full..." It's those small things in life that make people so special to us and I loved that message.

Leah + Brian's edgefield wedding
Brian and Leah were married last month at the amazing Edgefield McMenamins in Troutdale. We love that venue! It has so much personality in every nook and cranny which is wonderful for photographs! These two are so sweet and in love. Leah was anxious and nervous when we first arrived and within minutes of seeing Brian, she was all smiles! It was a beautiful day with this cute couple. Congrats you two!
Hair and Make-up by the talented Jennifer Rand
p.s. they had the cutest, most well-behaved little flower girls we have ever worked with. They were all smiles! We want to book their flower girl services for weddings in the future!
