Courtney & David's engagement

Courtney and David were so fun to be around for thier engagement shoot a couple weeks back! Even though we all live in Portland, we came up with the idea of a trip to Seattle for the day. Josh and I love going up to Seattle so we were ready to have fun!

Courtney and David had never been to Pike Place Market so we had to do some of the photos there. We walked around the market area and made a stop at the world famous Pike Place Fish Market where they are known for throwing fish around. David and Courtney asked if they could catch a fish and the guys tossed David a huge Salmon from about 30 feet away. He caught it on the first toss with his bare hands and we got some great shots while it happened! It was the best way to start a photo shoot. If only we could start all of our photo shoots that way! :)

We then went down to the piers, went to the Seattle Aquarium, and ended up at Gas Works. Gas Works is a park across the sound that has a great hill that overlooks all of downtown Seattle. The weather was phenomenal, especially for October and we had such a great time getting to know David and Courtney. Can't wait for their wedding coming up this next summer!

Nicole's baby shower

I am so excited! My brother and his wife are expecting their first child in the next few weeks! I can't wait to be an aunt to my little niece and take tons of photos of her. I'm sure she will only know me if I have a camera in hand. I took a trip up to Seattle to visit and go to Nicole's baby shower. It was great to meet all of her family and friends. I took some photos of the weekend and made a simple slideshow for everyone that was there and all the rest of our family that couldn't be there. Enjoy!

Malcolm & Elissa's engagement shoot

What a beautiful day we had in Corvallis for pictures last weekend!

On engagement shoots me and Maggie find out so much about our clients and we get to learn how to work with them and they get to learn how we work as photographers. Engagement shoots make weddings go smooth when the time comes for photos on their big day.

When we met Malcolm & Elissa they were ready to go and looked like rock stars. They were down for walking all over the OSU campus and we LOVED the fall colors all over the place! In fact, we had them toss a ton of leaves in the air to emphasize the amazing fall colors. We are so blessed to have some of the best clients! We are so excited for next summer's weddings!!

Derek & Ashley 09.15.07

Derek and Ashley were married last month at Broken Top Country Club in Bend, OR. The drive through Oregon is amazing and Josh and I loved getting outside of Portland for the day. We were a little worried about the day being too cold or possibly rainy but it turned out to be sunny and gorgeous all day.

I (Maggie) knew Derek and Ashley from Oregon State University. We all graduated from the art program there. When Ashley first contacted me about possibly shooting their wedding, I was ecstatic! I have mentioned it before, but we just LOVE working with other artists. It gives us an extra edge and pushes us to be at the top of our game.

Their wedding was nothing but eye candy all day! From Ashley's dress, to the location, to the blue skies and the phenomenal jewelry Derek gave to Ashley as a gift. We had a wonderful time working with Derek and Ashley and all of their friends and family. Check back in a few weeks for Ashley's bridal shoot!
