SNEEK PEEK! 2009 Marquis Queen

We photographed the 2009 Marquis Queen crowning today. Not only did we have the pleasure of meeting Tessie Taylor the queen herself as she was crowned, but we also got to meet Katie Harman, Miss America 2002! Yep a real Miss America! Both ladies were stunning inside and out. We had a great day.

Karli + Patrick's engagement

So maybe I'm a little biased, but I'm pretty sure redheads might be the best people to photograph. We met up with Karli and Patrick on Mount Hood this past friday for their engagement shoot. They are both very outdoorsy people and they will be climbing Mount Hood in a couple weeks so it was a fun location for all of us. We hardly say this, but the weather was a little too nice up there for the shoot! It was clear skies which made the snow a giant reflector. It was way too bright up at the top. We did as many photos as we could with the mountain before we found some shade in the trees down the road. All in all, it was a fun shoot and we are looking forward to working with these two again in a short 2 months for their wedding.

Cancun part 2

Here are many more photos from our Mexico adventure this past week. We had so much fun swimming in the gulf, driving around small towns in a rental car, swimming in a fresh water cenote (with fishies!), and climbing to the top of some Myan ruins. We all got sunburned as you will see in some photos. Ouch! Other than that, the trip was perfect! We brought a couple face masks just to remember the swine flu in case you were wondering about those photos.

Cancun part 1

Josh and I took a much needed break in Mexico this past week. We were very disconnected from the world. No phone. No internet. Just sunshine (a.k.a. sunburns), the Gulf of Mexico, 90 degree weather, amazing food, great people, Myan ruins, swimming with fishies in fresh water cenotes, zero Swine Flu and our best friends Thomas and Rachel by our sides. Josh did most of the documenting, while I sat back and enjoyed being unplugged from the world. These are just a few of almost 2000 photos we took.

Cory + Jade's portrait shoot

Cory and Jade were great to work with last week. They brought a lot of style to the shoot with their vintage look. Jade is a photographer so her and Cory knew exactly how to pose and have fun with the photo shoot. They were a breath of fresh air and gave us tons of ideas for photo shoots in the future. I'm sure you will be seeing them again on our blog!
